WELCOME to the Kyleakin Indoor Bowling Club

The club was formed in 1989 when the South League consisted of Kyleakin, Strath, and Plockton. In 1990 Kyleakin and Strath amalgamated due to Strath's dwindling membership and became Kyleakin and Strath. In 1991 it was unanimously agreed that the club should revert to its original name, the Kyleakin Indoor Bowling Club.

Members range from beginners to Scottish Internationalists, many of whom have held Scottish Short Mat Championship titles, so there is no shortage of experience for aspiring players to draw upon. We have sets of miniature bowls, used regularly by pupils at the local primary school. If we can encourage interest in our sport at such a tender age, our future is surely bright!

Club members regularly attend events, including the Scottish Championships, in Dumfries and Stonehaven, and there's usually a sizeable group competing and enjoying the experience.

Annual Membership, £35. Club nights: £2 (members), £3 (visitors)

We currently have around 20 active members, meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays from September through to April. Our home is the impressive Kyleakin Community Hall which opened in 2002. The hall may be seen on your left from the bridge as you approach the Isle of Skye.

Now that we are able to resume play following a long interruption due to Covid-19, please read the following document setting out regulations we should follow when using the hall facilities:
